Thanks John, do you have James or Isaac Barnes listed on this petition? --Thanks, Foster Well at the risk of strirring up those people that may take things a little to seriously, I offer the following simple look-up...I have the document or book, it is not copyrighted that I can find, it was written in 1834, so should offend nobody......It is a list of Citizens of Belmont County, 1833.....I don't believe it is every citizen, but most of them.....I you need a name, let me know, and you got it !! It gives no other information, other than their name.....It was evidently a petition that they had signed concerning the way the Govt. was spending their money..Sound Familiar?? John
John has so graciously agreed to look up names listed in his book. Please use his email address instead of cluttering up this site with requests. Webb Hunter, Charles E. Mays

Also a Susanna (Susan) Williams who died October 20, 1865 and was living in West Wheeling according to the 1840 census. Truly appreciate everyones time and effort! - Lynn - California

It is safe to post any material published in 1922 or earlier, because these materials are no longer protected by copyright. This is from employees of the Copyright Office who spoke to our genealogical society.
John, Albert Rice or Allen Rice listed?
Elizabeth E. Coffland married James Webster 4-9-1850 in Jeff. Co Lancelot Coffland m. Eliza Becket 7-12-1827 in Jeff. co. These are the only Coffland marriages, of any spelling, listed from 1789 through 1850 as listed on Ohio Marriages CD. Sandra if anyone else requests a lookup from this CD, PLEASE give given names and aprox. dates...... first of all, it's useless for me to be looking up a marriage that wouldn't have fallen among the dates of the CD....second, sometimes there are dozens with the same given and surnames, thus making some sort of date necessary to narrow down the field. Third, without a given name, there may be upwards of 75 of certain surnames, making it impossible to find just one among the lot, without more to go on. .......so, give enough info to make a lookup possible, WHENEVER you ask for help! -----Original Message----- From: David McCAIN <70461.221@compuserve.com> To: OHBELMON-L@rootsweb.com <OHBELMON-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Sunday, August 13, 2000 9:02 AM Subject: [OHBELMON-L] Name look-ups >Thanks for the offer John.
