    3. Hi Harriet, This destination sounds like the Concord MH cemetery. I believe that it may also be regarded as the Berry Cemetery as I was told by Mrs. Mitchell of Colerain that many Berry's were buried there. It is located on Negus Rd off of Belmont County Rd. 4. She told me that she and her husband were paying for the upkeep of this MH out of their own money and labor. Does anyone know for sure if the Berry Cemetery and the Concord MH cemetery are one and the same and if Negus Rd is the same as Twp Rd 456? http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ohquakers/MHpictures.html Carole ---------------------------------------------- George and Harriet Herrington wrote: > > This cemetery is on TR456, off CR4, s of SR 798. 2. I had the same thought as Bonnie; I knew that there were a number of Devaults buried in Farmington Cemetery. Then I remembered that we have Carole to thank for posting the Farmington Cemetery listing in the first place. I visited the Farmington Cemetery this last Summer to see the graves of many of my wife's relatives (Hughes, Cope, Morrison, McCarty). It is very nicely kept up. While there, we visited my wife's cousin, Edna Hughes Morrison. She has lived her entire life in Farmington and has an excellent memory of many of the older folks who lived in Farmington. 3. I can't tell from the posting, but does this mean that John Berry is buried in this cemetery? If so, I'm thrilled, for I'm to the this John Berry of Belmont county, who married Catherine Horn. I have seen, many times, that John was from VA, but never been able to find anyone with any sort of documentation for this.....could you tell me where you found it? Many even go farther and say that he was from Louden County, VA, but I can assure you, there are no records in Louden County to back this up. ...I spent a day looking through court records and those at the genealogical library in Leesburg, finding nothing.....Anyone else have any documentation on these Berrys and Horns? I may be able to help a little -- I have Jesse as dying on 28 Mar 1918 in Mount Pleasant, Jefferson Co, OH and wife Mary Jane sometime before March 1918 (she died before him), but don't have date/location. I also have the following info on Jesse: 1880 census lists occupation as farm hand. 1900 census lists occupation as a coal miner who had been unemployed for 12 months ----- According to his death certificate, Jesse died of pulmonary tuberculosis, a disease he had for two years. He was buried on 31 March in Farmington, Ohio. By separate email, when you have the chance, could you please send me info on Phoebe and children? I'm assuming that's a second wife/family, and I have nothing on them. I have Harry F and Minnie G as children for Jesse/Mary. Is that right? Sharon

    3. I am looking for the parents of Lemuel Watts. He was born abt 1800-1807 probably in the area of Washington County, PA, Jefferson, Harrison or Belmont County in Ohio. William Watt & wife Eleanor, took up land in Harrison County, Ohio, abt 1807. The land document says they were from Washington County, PA. William and Eleanor might be Lemuel's parents. Also found reference to a William Watt being born in that area abt 1775, son of Samuel Watt. Cross Creek Cemetery, in Washington County, PA, has a Samuel Watt, who died 17 Jan 1805, ae 66 yrs. Could he be the father of William? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Meredith DeBuse

    3. I searched some more for Caldwell. This is perhaps Jane and Robert in the 1860 Belmont Co. census: Mead Twp. 36-34 Samuel Caldwell 56 OH Blacksmith Jane 56 PA Robert 18 OH Blacksmith James 22 OH I also went through the marriages for female Caldwell's in the 1850 to 1870 marriage book (by Wes Cochran) and found 4 marriages. One, Myra, I believe was the daughter of a Martin Caldwell (on the 1860 census). Here are the other 3 marriages: Laura J. Caldwell m. E. Frounfetter 2 Apr 1867 Mary Caldwell m. Westley T. Archer (age 20, s/o Henry E.) 13 Sep 1864 Sarah L. Caldwell m. Thomas S. Bradfield 24 Sep 1868 Two of these couples I found in the 1870 Belmont Co. census: Mead Twp. 154-152 Wesley T. Archer 24 OH Farmer Mary D. 30 WV Keep House Arta E. (f) 3 WV Warren Twp. 290-327 Thomas Bradfield 25 OH Merchant Sarah 20 OH Keep House George 11/12 OH There was a Mary Caldwell in the 1860 census who was the daughter of a Martin Caldwell...she was age 10. I also noticed these 2 in the 1860 census: Town of St. Clairsville - Richland Twp. 381-389 Mary Caldwell 78 Ire Elizabeth 44 MD Next door is a William Caldwell, age 46, b. Ireland, wife Sarah J. 3. There is no John in the index of the transcribed copies of the 1850 and 1860 Belmont Co. censuses that I have by Wes Cochran. There is one Elizabeth Caldwell listed in the index for the 1850 census: Richland Twp. 316-323 Thomas Black 77 Ire Farmer William 75 Ire None Mary 70 Ire Elizabeth CALDWELL 30 PA Jane CALDWELL (BLACK?) 18 Ire Next door is a William Caldwell, age 36 b. I did find a Robert in the 1870 census (by Wes Cochran) Mead Twp. 173-170 Robert Caldwell 27 OH Blacksmith Jane 67 PA Keep House Perhaps Jane is Elizabeth and her full name was Elizabeth Jane?
