    1. [OHBELMON-L] Mowrey (ery-ry) Robson Scott
    2. Barb Golino
    3. Looking for Robert Mowrey (Mowery-Mowry). Sarah Ellen Scott, d/o Brice Scott and Mary Starkey was born August 1844 and died Oct.14, 1903. She first married John J. Robson in 1869 and they had the following children: Mary, Rebecca, and Della. John Robson died 1875 and three years later Sarah married Robert Mowrey in 1878. They had the following children: Lucy, Laura, Branson, Catherine, and James. Sarah died as stated in 1903. There is no record of Robert Mowrey after the 1900 census. Almost all of the children can be found after that date in Belmont County, but no sign of Robert. He may have "run off" with another woman. His brother James Mowrey can also be found in Belmont County. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks...............Barb

    3. Janet, Can't connect to Solomon, but have often wondered if he might be connected to my Samuel Hyett who was in Belmont Co. in 1822 when he married and also he is in the 1830 (I think), 1840, 1850, 1860 census there. He was born ca. 1799 PA. 2. Sandra Ferguson
    3. Does anyone know if there are extant records for the Plainfield Meeting, I believe an offshoot of the Short Creek Meeting? I know there are some included in The Quaker Encyclopedia, but not many, and I've heard that there are records of other meetings, not included by Hinshaw in his work, found locally....I'd appreciate advice from anyone with some experience in these Ohio meeting records. 1. [OHBELMON-L] - VIRUS ALERT
    2. Sandra Ferguson
    3. I probably receive this twice a day.....along with the Microsoft patch to "use" to keep from getting virus, one reporting to come from my own server, and many, many more...I literally get, probably, a dozen a day. So, it is impossible to warn people about all those floating around..... The ONLY way people can protect themselves is to get a good antivirus software program and also NOT open ANY attachment from ANYONE, whether it reports to come from a company, your server, or your best friend. The only safe attachment is one that you KNOW you're going to be receiving! ALL others are suspect, because the virus of today forge their FROM addresses...... there is NO way to know, if you receive an email and an attachment, reporting to come from your mother, that it IS from your mother. It may well be a virus that has forged your mother's email address and used it.....so, open NOTHING you don't expect.....email your mother/friend, etc and ask if they have sent you something. That's the only way to be safe. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Saboley" <[email protected]> To: "Sandra Ferguson" <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 12, 2004 11:49 AM Subject: Re: *** SPAM *** Fw: [OHBELMON-L] Your Gift - VIRUS ALERT > I don't usually send these notices out, but this one was a bit unusual. 2. Nancy Edwards
    3. Hello Folks - It's possible that I've found a brother of my maternal grandmo, Mary Ethel SMITH EDWARDS, whose parents were Samuel B. SMITH and Margaret Ann SCHOTT/SCHUTT. On the 1900 Census for Martins Ferry, Belmont Co., there is this family: SMITH, Edward Head b. Nov 1871 in WV SMITH, Rosie Wife b. July 1875 in OH SMITH, Laura dau b. Sept 1894 in OH I think this Edward SMITH may be one of the brothers of Mary Ethel SMITH EDWARDS. Other children of Samuel B. SMITH and Margaret SCHOTT/SCHUTT were Anna, Nora, Margaret, Harriet, Effie, Charles and Alvin. I've only been able to locate descendants of Nora SMITH who m. Elsie CRISWELL. Here's hoping someone has a connection with these folks. Nancy Edwards (also researching EDWARDS, SCHOTT/SCHUTT, TOTTERDALE, CRISWELL, CALLAGHAN, EATON, WOODYARD, GARDNER, GILLETT)

    3. Hello Diana - Quite interesting! I have NOT personally researched the Wright Families. My information came from the records of Sanford Wright (his genealogical information is now at the Barnesville Library). Will contact a VanDyne researcher with your newest information and re-check both my notes from Sanford's files and the letters I rec'd from his daughter, Nellie Wright. Do keep in touch - Donna ----- Original Message ----- From: "Diana Davis" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, February 29, 2004 8:01 PM Subject: Re: [OHBELMON-L] DANFORD, WRIGHT, MECHEM, MOORE in Belmont Co., OH > Donna, unfortunately, there were two Thomas Timothy WRIGHTs, apparently both > born in 1823 (though some census' differ). 1. [OHBELMON-L] Rock Hill Cemetery
    2. I was wondering if there is a complete list of Rock Hill Cemetery, Belmont County, Ohio. I have the listing from the book by Esther Powell but I know there are others by the name Davis buried out in Rock Hill but not listed. Would appreciate any assistance with this. I have a John Thomas Davis buried there 1927 and I know his daughter Ida Davis was buried there in 1968. Thank you for your time and any help - Lynn in California
