    3. I tried to place a query on the Belmont page and got an error message, so I decided to try this way. Any help appreciated! In the Belmont Co., OH 1850 Census, Isaac VARNER, age 42, is married to Phoebe A., age 32, both born in Pennsylvania. They have has 7 children, one named Letitia. Some believe this is Phoebe Ann CLARK. Who is this Phoebe? Could her parents be Abraham and Letitia WILLIAMS CLARK? I have an 1887 letter from John Joseph CLARK, son of Abraham and Letitia CLARK, that refers to his sister, Phoebe Varner, but can find no other proof.

    3. This site mentions Pultney Ridge, and you many want to include some of the byway on your trip. http://www.ohiobyways.com/Drovers.htm (whenever we travel anywhere we always search for scenic byways, All American Roads, etc, to see, while there - they are generally the best scenery the area has to offer.) It may be called the Pultney Ridge Road, and this may find something on it, if you surf the web and have a look-see..... 3. Here are some Hunkler 'tidbits" from THE HISTORY OF BARNESVILLE, by Sheppard; In 1896, the Hunkler brothers purchased the Hagedorn bakery on Arch Street. This shop had been operating for about 25 years an was located in the James Walton bldg on the east side of Arch.. considerable repairning was done which made it an up-to-date bakery and they produced a commplete line of baked goods. They used a delivery with marked success. In 1907 they erected their present concrete block building on the west side of ARch St in which they operate today (1942), quite successfully, a bakery, restaurant and have rooms for lidging. Their place of business is at #122 North Arch St." There are numerous mentions of the surname, so the family remained there, and active, through the 1940s. Catherine might have stayed on for awhile. Catherine lived into her 90's and died in 1945. Any help will be gratefully appreciated! Martha Stead San Diego

I will be traveling from SEWELSVILLE ME Church in Kirkwood Twp. Can anyone also tell once I get to Salem ME, where I can locate Isaac MIDKIFF b.1780-d.1843 with wife Elizabeth Sheppard b.1782-d.1873 ? I don't want to drift all over the plae and not have a clue as to a certain row or section, or marker once I'm in the Cem. What is the status of this cemetery? Is it kept up? Will I be able to possibly find headstones for these people? Same questions in the SEWELSVILLE CEM. William FRIZZELL b.abt 1760-d.abt 1850- with 2nd wife Rebecca Miller b.1777-d.1842-I have received a lovely photo recently of the headstones for my Rev.War Patriot William Frizzell, however I do not know where exactly their stones are once inside the cemetery. Can anyone give me marker points so I can find these? Thanks Warmest Regards, Connie Coy Rice [email protected]

    1. RE: need email address for Ancestry
    2. Does anyone have the correct email address for Ancestry ?? I wish to send them correspondence but also desire a copy for myself. I can easily do this by using normal email methods; Ancestry's site only offers their own "insider email option" which does not allow for personal copies to confirm content nor verify actual attempts to communicate. Thanks

Perhaps that info will help you locate the it on an old map? Below is the info about Ohio from my research. Mary Beth in Wisconsin The Encyclopedia of Quaker Genealogy, 1750-1930 [Genealogy.com] http://www.genealogy.com/ifa/co_192toc.html#intro OHIO - VOLUME IV Listing marriages, births, deaths, certificates, disownments, etc. and much collateral information of interest to genealogy, history, biology, and social conditions Volumes IV and V comprise a two-volume set, each volume containing about half of the Ohio Quaker genealogical records. Volume IV is the largest of the two and is in fact the largest volume of the whole "Encyclopedia." Quakers arrived in the Old Northwest by the thousands, establishing hundred of Meetings for Worship and erecting an unprecedented number of monthly meetings. Volume IV contains the genealogical records found in all original books of the thirty monthly meetings listed below and now belonging to, and under, the jurisdiction of the two presently (1946) established Ohio Yearly Meetings; namely, the Wilbur and Gurney Branches of the Society of Friends in Ohio. Twenty-five of the monthly meetings are in Ohio, four are in Pennsylvania, and one is in Michigan. The thirty monthly meetings whose records of births, marriages, and deaths are included in this volume are as follow: Westland, Washington County, PA Redstone, Fayette County, PA Sewickley, Westmoreland County, PA Concord, Belmont County, OH Plymouth-Smithfield, Jefferson County, OH Middleton, Columbiana County, OH Short Creek (Mt. Volume V completes the Ohio Quaker genealogical records. It contains the genealogical records found in all original books known to exist of the twenty-one monthly meetings listed below and now belonging to and under the jurisdiction of the Wilmington Yearly Meeting, Clinton County, Ohio, and/or the Indiana Yearly Meeting, Richmond, Indiana. All twenty-one meetings are located in south-central, western, and southwestern Ohio. Records of meetings formerly held in these areas, but now laid down (including Hicksite), are included. Ohio Yearly Meeting was established in 1813 by Baltimore Yearly Meeting and took jurisdiction over all meetings in Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and Indiana.
