I am looking for information on my GG-father, Thomas J. Carnes, who was born in VA (WV) in November 1829. He married my GG-mother, Mary Elizabeth Shafer, on March 20, 1858 in Athens County. They lived most of their lives in Athens County, although they were living in Ward Township, Hocking County when he died of consumption on December 20, 1872. The 1860 census has them living in Mineral, OH. They had four children: Margaret, Alfred Harvey, Emma, and my grandfather, Charles Ellsworth. Can anyone tell me where the Wolf Cemetery at The Plains, OH, is located. Mary Elizabeth Shafer's mother and father, David Shafer and Margaret Sidders Shafer are listed as being buried there.
