Hello - I am new to your list and was wondering if there is anyone out there working on the following lines. (I apologize for the wordiness of this message, but to prevent errors, will give as many details as I can.) George RUBLE married Barbara TITTLE. They were married 17 April 1875 in Athens Co., OH. Her father Henry TITTLE is named on the license. George and Barbara's children were as follows: 1. Jesse b. Jul 1877 in Ohio 2 Oliver b. 7 Sep 1879 in Salina, Athens Co., OH (I found birth record) m. Lola T. 3 Alice b. 23 Jul 1881 in York Twp, Athens Co., OH (I found birth record) 4 Blanche b. Mar 1884 in Ohio 5 Rosella/Rosa Lee b. 25 Oct 1887 in Nelsonville, Athens Co., OH (I found b. r. and her name is spelled Rosa Lee on it but I had it as Rosella) 6. Nora b. 17 Oct 1889 in Nelsonville, Athens Co., OH m. 18 Aug 1908 in Steubenville, Jefferson Co., OH to William HARRIS d. 15 Jan 1980 in Rural Valley, Armstrong Co., PA 7. Ernest b. Sep 1893 On the 1900 Census they were living in York Twp, Athens Co., OH and George's age was listed as 50 years On the 1910 Census they were living in Hanna Precinct, Jefferson Co., OH and George's age was listed as 66 years! It also said that Barbara had had 8 children with six still living. (I obviously don't know who I'm missing) On the 1920 census they're living in Mt. Pleasant Twp., Hanna Precinct, Jefferson Co., OH and George is 73 years old. Both of George's parents were born in Ohio (supposedly, based upon the census data) Also, daughter Blanche is still living at home and presumed to have never married (she'd be 36) The TITTLE side is as follows: Henry TITTLE b. abt 1830 in Ohio, m. abt 1860 to Elizabeth b. abt 1834 in Ohio. Their children were: 1. Barbara Ellen b. May 1854 2. Thomas b. abt 1864 m. Julia (on 1880 census in Dover Twp, Athens Co., OH) 3. Solomon b. abt 1861 4. Zacharia b. abt 1866 5. Laura (Minnie) b. abt 1868 6. Joseph M. b. abt 1871 7. Robert D. b. Mar 1873 m. Arabella (on 1900 census for Rome Twp, Athens Co.) 8. Lily b. abt 1876 Henry TITTLE and family is listed on 1870 census in York Twp, Athens Co. OH and 1880 census in Doanville, Athens Co., OH. There is also a Joseph TITTLE and family on the 1880 census in Doanville. He is 35 so possibly a younger brother of Henry (but I don't know) I realize from talking to others that there are a zillion George RUBLEs, but I am certain about what information I have here.
