I am looking for information on the following surnames in Athens County, Ohio. TUCKER, MENDER, PICKETT, GARNER, POWELL My great grandmother Emma Mae GARNER was born in Nelsonville in 1893. She had one sister Charlean GARNER born about 1897. Her parents were Rosa Ann TUCKER 1872-1919 who was born and died in Nelsonville, and Charles GARNER born abt 1871 and died before 5/5/1903. Charles and Rosa were married in Nelsonville in 1892. After Charles died Rosa married William F. POWELL on 5/5/1903 in Nelsonville. Charles and Rosa had two sons Gerard POWELL born 1905 and Donald POWELL, both born in Nelsonville. I can find no trace of information on Charles GARNER and am hoping that someone somewhere has him in their family. Rosa Ann TUCKER was the daughter of William TUCKER born 1848 in England died 1924 in Nelsonville, and Elizabeth MENDER born 1851in Ohio and died 1923 in Nelsonville. In addition to Rosa, William and Elizabeth had William (b. 1872), Mary (b.1875), Edward (b.1879), Lucy (b.1888) and Garnet (b.1893). William TUCKER is the son of John TUCKER who was born in England.
