    1. Amos STACKHOUSE and Joshua FORD; Homer Twp.
    2. Mark Johnson
    3. There was a marriage on 14 Mar 1840 at Athens Co. between Amos STACKHOUSE and Artemesa FORD (Probate Court Marriage Records of Athens County). Artemesa may well have been related to the FORDs of Waterford [ex-Plain] and Watertown [ex-Wooster], Washington Co, OH, but the sources for Washington Co. are sparce (nothing significant was found in the 1881 Hist. of Wash. Co.). As for Amos STACKHOUSE, I really don't know what to make of him. Finding him as an 82 year old Rev. War pensioner living with Joshua FORD (b. 1800-1810) and his family in the 1840 census of Homer Twp., Athens Co. [Morgan Co. aft 1849], OH established the needed link with the FORDs. But there is no one in the household who could be Amos' wife. And Amos' LW&T (dated 20 August 1844 and probated18 March 1845) at Hocking Co, OH makes no mention of a wife. I'm beginning to think that there must have been a younger Amos STACKHOUSE. Does anyone have any info on this? All Our Best Wishes, MARSHALL ---------------------------------------------------------------- M.
