Greetings. For a long time I have been researching my ancestors in a part of Ashland County which is now in Huron County (I think). The area includes towns like Ruggles, Nova and Sullivan. The names I know quite a bit about are WESTON, HOUGHTON, SNYDER, MUSSER, GEPHART, CRUMRINE and LEECH. The oldest LEECH I know of is JACOB LEECH, m. Caroline(Carolyn) Snyder, but he is a mystery. He is in Ruggles in 1860, but never appears after that. I always suspected he went to the wars, but there is no record of his having served.
