I am looking for information about three Sloan brothers. David and Joseph went to Ashland Co from PA in 1851. Their brother had gone there earlier and his name was either James, John or Samuel. I know nothing of him or his family. Joseph, born 1815, was married to Nancy Neil and had the following children: Agnes born 1844 married John C Miller Rebecca, born 1846 Elizabeth Jane, born 1848, married Max K Walker Margaret Ann, born 1850, married James Curry David, born 1807, died 1873 in Ashland Co; wife Jane Hunter, born 1811, died 1864 in Ashland Co. Their Children: Mary, born 1835, married William S Hower Margaret, born 1837, married unknown Reed Thomas, born 1840, died in Civil War James, born 1843, died 1873 Ashland Co, married Nancy Jane Sloan died Ashland Co 1873 David Larimer, born 1844; left Ashland Co for CA about 1874 (this is my grandfather) Rebecca, born 1846, Married William H Hower (Haiver?) Anna E, born 1852 in Ashland Co, married Henry G Phelps All the children except Anna E were born in PA but I assume were all married in Ashland Co. The only ones I have information on are Margaret who married Reed and all I know about her is that she was a widow when she died in CA at the home of David Larimer. According to the cemetery records there was an Elizabeth Sloan married to a Whiting, Elizabeth was noted as a niece of David Larimer. If anyone knows anything about any of these Sloans or the people they married, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you very much.
