    3. Allen Co, Democrat, June 18, 1874 Mrs. Aby BROWN Suddenly of heart disease, June 3rd at her residence in Wisconsin, Mrs. Aby BROWN, formerly a resident of Lima, Ohio, and among the first settlers there. Her age was sixty-eight years. She was a worthy member of the M.E. Church for thirty years. She leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss. On Thursday afternoon last, at Middlepoint, Van Wert county, George COLE, aged about 22 years, a son of Chancy COLE, of this city, met with an accident which resulted in his instant death. He was engaged as a brakeman on a freight on the Pittsburgh railway, and the accident happened while making a coupling, and in attempting to step back his foot caught between the rails and the plank of a crossing, the train caught his clothes and twisted him around with the wheel, breaking his neck and back in two places which of course caused instant death. His remains were brought to Lima and interred on Saturday. The family have the sympathies of our community in this terrible affliction.
