SHEPPARD, of Kentucky, spent Sunday with his wife, 310 East Elm street. D. BELL and wife arrived home on Saturday evening from their trip to Europe. Mrs. James F. QUINN, of Columbus is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.D. McSWEENEY. Miss McCLAIN, of Middletown, Ohio, is the guest of Miss Mary LEEHY, of North Main street. Mrs. C.C. VENA, of South West street, left yesterday to visit her mother in Mercer county. Mrs. Dr. J.J. MURPHY and James KILLORAN are in Toledo attending the funeral of a relative. Misses Kate CAHILL and Mary MURPHY have returned from a visit to Youngstown and Chautauqua. Donna, aged four years, daughter of Adam CLOORE, of Lafayette, died on Saturday, of diphtheria. Warren KELLEY, of Huntington, Ind., an engineer on the C.& E. Railroad, was here on Saturday. He was fomerly on the L.E. & W. road. The banns of matrimony were published for the first time yesterday, at St. Rose's church between Mr. James KILLORAN and Miss Mary MULCAHY. Miss Ann DEMLING, of Chicago, is here to attend the wedding of her brother George tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock at St. Rose church to Miss Callie McBRIDE. Mr. J.D. JONES, the popular harness maker has returned from Cincinnati, where he has been attending the Harness Makers' Convention, and reports a very pleasant time. Fred WEISNER, an inmate of the County Infirmary, died between 3 and 4 o'clock Saturday morning in an epileptic fit. He was 31 years of age, and had been at the infirmary for eight years. About two years ago some of the patients reported to the superintendent that Fred was dead, but though breathing was suspended, when he was turned over, respiration began again. But this time no such result followed any effort. He was dead. Last night his body was taken in charge by his guardian, Adam ZIMMERMAN, to be buried at the expense of the estate. His father owned a lot at the corner of McKibben and Jackson streets, on which are two small houses. The deceased had an undivided interest in the premises. He has several brothers and sisters living here. The funeral took place this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the house of Mr. ORCHARD, corner of Jackson and McKibben streets. Rev. M. BAUM officiating. Interment at the old cemetery.
