ARNOLD of Second street, returned to her home in Oakwood, O., yesterday. C.V. SHAW and Miss Nettie HOFFMAN have returned from Jackson, Michigan. Frank GIFT spent Sunday with Spencerville friends. Wm. JONES, of Third street, who was recently operated on for tonsillitis, is improving, but is not yet able to resume work. Mr. and Mrs. Charles ZURMEHLY, son Clyde and daughter Goldie, of south Elizabeth street, have returned from a visit to relatives in Chillicothe and Circleville. N.N. KUNKLE has gone to Mt. Blanchard after visiting his family on south Main street. Miss Marie QUINN, of Cleveland, is a guest of Miss Ada RANSBOTTOM, of west Kibby street. James HALL and son Robert, of Alliance, O., are visiting relatives in south Lima. Walter, one-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack DeTURK, of south Elizabeth street, is critically ill with brain fever, but was somewhat improved this morning. Yesterday, Miss Emma LEHMKUHL, of St. Marys, visited her brother, Joseph LEHMKUHL, of south Main street. Miss Agnes MONTAGUE, of south West street is a Detroit visitor. Stephen REED, of south Main street, has been called to Fairport, N.Y., his boyhood home, on account of the illness of his brother, Robert REED. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph BOWSER, of Shawnee, spent Sunday with the Dora FRYSINGER family, on east Kibby street. Mr. and Mrs. Frank WETHERILL, of Spencerville and son Ira, and wife, of Indian Territory, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee HIGGINS, yesterday. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lem FISHER, of south Central avenue is quite ill. Thomas GOLDEN, of Holmes avenue, is critically ill with typhoid fever. He was on the way to recovery, but suffered a relapse Saturday. His brother John GOLDEN, of Lake View, was called here yesterday. Yesterday Mr. and Mrs. George METZGER, of Franklin street, were visited by Mr. and Mrs. David METZGER, of Waynesfield. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer NOLF, of Second street, spent Sunday at Holgate.
