Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZYB.2ACI/674.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Dear Laurie, I was playing around with ancestry.com, and found in the 1850 Ohio census, Moses, 45, Phoebe 43, Frances, 17, Greshum(??) 15, Elija M 8 (but the F is erased, our Elijah is male, could this census be wrong...the rest of the info seems correct) and Issac 4. The 1860 Amanda, Allen County Ohio, lists Phoebe Hobbs, 53, P, 31 (who is that???) EM, 18 (looks to be our Elijah), and IW 14. Moses was clearly missing, although not dead if he showed up on the 1870 census. The Hobbs info I have, for what it's worth, is as follows...Elijah married Caroline Boehmer probably in Ohio. They had Harvey (b. 1871 Ohio d. ?) Rosina (b. 1874 in CA, d 1950) Clinton (b. 1876 CA, d. 1954 CA) and Henry (b. 1882, d. 1970 CA) The family appears in the 1880 CA census in Bodega, Sonoma County.
