This particular meeting was commemorating the 100th anniversary of William Akerman settling in Jackson twp., and there was a reading of the "family history." If there are members of this family out there who read this -- could you please let me know -- Have the Akerman family reunions continued through the years? Has anyone maintained the "family history"? What are the family origins? (Pennsylvania? before?) I also notice that William was the administrator of several estates in Jackson twp in the late 1880s and early 1890s -- was this part of his duties as "commissioner"? Any info is welcome.
