I believe Jacob was born in Pennsylvania, but he could have been born in Germany, probably about 1840. Sarah was born in Germany. She left Jacob at some point and went back to Germany, taking their two youngest children with her, and never came back. I have the names of 8 of their children: 1) Netha (Nettie) b. 10/15/1871 in Ohio d. 4/17/1939 in TN (she is my grandmother) 2) Nancy 3) Jane d. 1930 4) Esta 5) Charlie 6) Albert 7) Robert (Rob) b. 5/14/1890 d. 12/3/1967 in Ohio and 8) John.
