Hi JoAnn and all; On the road so this will be quick. One trick my stone conservator friend taught me that has served me well: use de-ionized or distilled water with a soft paint brush in or on the areas you want to read. It darkens indentations and raised areas long enough to take a good photo. Works great for me. Jan
