Bowling Green University houses the records for Northwestern Ohio including Allen county. Ohio University has the records for Southeastern Ohio, and I do not remember which Universities have the other regions' records. I mention this because you indicated you are interested in "older" death records. I was unable to find a record of one gggrandfather, and Bowling Green's second search did find the record, copy and mailed it to me for a donation.
