Boop, 79, Rt. 5, died at 9:05 am Sunday in Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for three days. He retired from the Republic Creosote Company in 1953 after being a stationary engineer for several years. He was born Dec. 7, 1879 in Allen County. His wife, Clara M., whom he married April 25, 1905, survives. Also surviving are three sons, Cloyd F. of Rt. 1, Lakeview, Clarence E. of Beaverdam, and Charles F. of Maumee; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Ruebush of Brookridge, Ore.; one brother, Van Boop of Keven, Mont.; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Basore of Jackson, Mich.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body is in the Chiles and Son Chapel where services will be held at 10 am Wednesday with Rev. Roger Amstutz officiating. Burial will be in Ward cemetery, four miles east of Lima. Friends may call at the funeral home.
