Having the index online would be a great help for people to decide which book they want or if they need the book. I personally don't want to buy a book and then find out that the info I need is not in it but if there is a lot in a book and I may discover more ancestors in it later, I do want the book. I could go to the library and look at the books but I have so many ancestors in Bath Township and in Hardin and Logan Counties that it was more practical for me to have my own copies. As I find more ancestors, I go back through the books and frequently find the newly discovered ancestors in them and info on them. Mark and I are discussing the idea of having him post the Society's indexes online so that researchers can determine which cemeteries their ancestors are in and request the info without buying the books or going to the library if they only have a few ancestors buried in a township or determining which books would be to their advantage to have if they have numerous ancestors buried in a cemetery and posting info on cemeteries that are not listed elsewhere. Mark and the Society have always had a great relationship with each other and a common goal of getting the information to the public. We both wish to continue being able to do this in a manner that gets the most information to the public that benefits all researchers.
