East Cemetery was located in a field close to the corner of N. Easttown Rd. and Rte 309 graves . When Lowes wanted to locate in that area, the graves were dug up one by one and placed in graves at Greenlawn Cem., south of Elida. Elida Cemetery is the same as Elida Lutheran Cemetery, just south of Lutheran Church, between Main St. & Rte 309. The cemetery was converted to a Children's Day Care Center years ago and the graves still remain. Hope this helps. However, I'm not sure that "Elida Cemetery" refers to either of those. I had another researcher I helped a couple years ago who had the same problem - looking fora place called "Elida Cemetery". I found her relatives on a listing at the museum's genealogy library. They were buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, which is about 3/4 mile south of Elida. The road, inside Elida, is called Greenlawn, but outside Elida becomes Dutch Hollow Road. It's possible that your source may mean that cemetery.==== OHALLEN Mailing List ====Allen County, Ohio - OHGenWeb Projecthttp://w! ww.rootsweb.com/~ohallen/allmain.html==============================Gain access to over two billion names including the new ImmigrationCollection with an Ancestry.com free trial.
