Surnames: MORRIS / SLOAN / WARNER Obituary The Lima News, Tuesday, August 21, 1956 Mrs. Anna May Morris WAPAKONETA - Mrs. Anna May Morris, 79, formerly of this community, died Monday afternoon in a Toledo Hospital after a long illness. She had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Clyde L. Warner, 707 Madison Ave., Lima, until being admitted to the Toledo Hospital. She was a native of Auglaize County and a member of Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church in Wapakoneta. She was married to Enoch Morris on Sept. 9, 1899, and he died in 1945. Besides her daughter and a grand-daughter, she is survived by a brother, Earl Sloan, Lakeview. The body will remain in the Siferd Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home, the Rev. H. M. Shadle officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire. Note: Anna May (Sloan) Morris, was the daughter of Francis Marion Sloan and Lucinda (Strasburg) Sloan. Anna May had a sister, Julia Sloan, who married Ira S. Morris, who was a brother to Anna May's husband, Enoch Morris. Julia (Sloan) and Ira S. Morris were my children's paternal great-grandparents.
