Charlotte, My husband has an ancestor, Simeon Branham, who was born in Scott county, KY in about 1806. His mother died when he was young, in about 1813. His father died in 1822, but the family had moved to Indiana by that time. I do not know the names of the mother or the father. Could you scan through your KY obits to see if the name BRANHAM appears? I would be looking for a woman who left a son named Simeon. There may have been a John, Linsfield, and Daniel, but I know very little about this family. I would be surprised if you find anything, but I hate to leave any stone unturned. Thank you for your time. Hello, Just a quick note, in case it might help? The surname BRANHAM in Amherst Co, VA (that is located in Central Virginia) is associated with Native American ancestry. Such as the Monacan tribe. There is a list of Monacan tribe marriages, and many are BRANHAM. This does not mean that all Branham persons were Native Americans, but I just wanted to point this out, in case you had any family stories about "Indian" ancestors. If you need more help on that name, in that location, email me privately.
