    3. Tootise Grandpa had 2 other brothers besides Ferdinand and their names were Gilbert and Clarence. He completely lost track of them and never spoke of them at least not to me or my sisters. He also had 2 sisters Ediath and Mary-Margaret. I beleive Ediath died at age 2. Mary-Margaret or as she was know to us as Aunt Molly was the only member of the family grandpa ever kept in contact with. Molly born Feb10, 1887 in Wapakoneta married a Richard Englert had 2 daughters who each married and had a1 child each. In her later years she lived with her daughter Helen (Pud) in San Antonio, Texas. Molly died in Texas in 1971 and is buried in Lyons, Ohio with my grandparents their daughter Harriet, who died at age 3 months and their son Harold Albert and his wife Marion. I don't know if the other names are fimilar to you but this is what I have. Let me know what you think, I will appreicate anything at this point. 3. Marilyn, I honestly don't know if Harold was his given name, middle name or what. I wouldn't even know if the wife I knew was his first or second marriage. But MI and Wapakoneta fits this Miller family. I was raised at Indian Lake which is in Logan Co. and he worked with my Dad. 3. Hi Tootsie: The only Harold I have in my family was my father's brother Harold Albert Miller who married Marion Alberteen Gould in Michigan in 1934. My grandfather moved from Wapakoneta to Toledo after he was married in 1900 where my father and Uncle were born and their sister was born in Michigan. Harriet Caroline died at 3months old in Michigan. My grandfather lived in Toledo until 1946 after the death of his second wife. My grandmother died in Toledo in 1929. As far as I know my granfather and his youngest sister Mary-Margaret (Molly) lived in Toledo and the rest of his brothers remained in Wapakoneta as far as we know. The story is his brother Ferdinand and his forgein wife disapeared on day with out a word. Grandfather already thought they went out of the country and lived where his wife was born. We just don't know. Debbie Carder Mayes http://allencogenealogysociety.homestead.com/Main.html Hi Debbie, I am looking for information on my HOOKER family. my great great great grandfather was James HOOKER and on every census that I have found him on, he said that he was born in North Carolina. My HOOKER family settled in Kentucky later on, and that is where my great grandfather on down were born, in the Clay/Knox/Bell County area. James was in the civil war and on his widow's pension papers, I think that it says that he was born in Patrick County, Virginia. One of my distant relatives contacted me about a month ago and told me that the one that we thought was our James's father was right. He said that he also knew Clinton HOOKER, James's son and his grandfather and my great great grandfather. He told me that Jame's father was Esom/Easam HOOKER, which I had been told before. What I am trying to figure out is if Esom was really his father or not, and I thought that if I could find a book listing HOOKER marriages or births in North Carolina, that maybe it would help. I already have the Patrick County Virginia marriages. Thank you, Charlotte

Like I said, there's a little bit of everything so there are some other states but I'd say those are the states that they have the most on. Are there particular states you are looking for? I can see what's available when I go up there Weds. 3. Marilyn, I grew up with Miller neighbors that moved from MI and had a connection if I remember right to Lima or a county near there. Harold Miller, wife was Hazel, and they had three sons. Does the name Harold sound familiar? There may be more info in my Mom'a address book ie anniversary date, Hazel's mother etc. I know the sons names if you write me personally. 3. Those death certificates can be obtained at OHS. They have a form on the death index to order the certificate. There are a few libraries in Ohio with the death certificates on microfilm but it's just as easy to order them form OHS and much cheaper than the state or county fees for death certificates. Most of the counties have sent the older death certificates to OHS and do not have them locally or at the sate health department. Ordering your death certificates form OHS is probably your best option.
