Rene, I don't know if there is anything but as much as my family has liked baseball, I wouldn't be surprised if they were involved also. If you find a photo with people identified, I'd be interested in seeing if there were any of my family included. Good luck! Jannice Rasor Hubbard
If you contact the museum library, also ask them to look in the Fitzpatrick family files and picture files. He may be in there. Daniel Myers was a long time resident of Hume, Allen Co., OH. He died 1904 age 87. Burial in Shawnee Cemetery, Allen Co., OH. Married 3 times, I recently learned his 2nd wife's correct name was Barbara Ann KRING. I hope to inform others researching this line of the error in transcribing Barbara's surname as KING, which I found on many family trees, onto other records. The source of this error is found in the Knox County Ohio Marriage Record Book 1808-1875, pg 123, that lists the marriage of Daniel Myers and Barbara Ann KING on August 9, 1855, performed by R.C. Colmery, Minister. After obtaining a copy of their Original Written Marriage Record from the Knox County Records Center, Mt. Vernon, OH., I found her very readable surname on it to be KRING, Not KING! Explains why, after many hours of searching, I could not connect her to any KING families! Since discovering her real name, I found a George KRING family in the 1850 Census, Clinton Twp., Knox Co., OH., Roll 700 Book 1, Page 261a. He has a daughter named Barbara Ann who has a twin sister! Coincidently, just down the road from the KRING family on Page 257a., lived Daniel MYERS, age 32, farmer, with his 1st wife Sarah & children! Sarah died abt 1852. 1850 Census: George KRING, age 54, laborer, b.PA - Elizabeth, age 47, b MD - Washington, age 18, laborer, b.OH - Barbara Ann, age 16, b.OH - (twin) Caroline, age 16, b.OH - Isaac, age 8, b.OH - Albert, age 6, b.OH - Elizabeth, age 3, b.OH - Amanda, age 4mo. Could not find this family in 1860 Census. Barbara (Kring) Myers died in 1867 after giving birth to twin sons. Still searching for her place of burial. Daniel and Barbara Myers were my children's paternal g-g-grandparents. I hope this info has been helpful to others that are researching this MYERS line. Julia
Shucks. Thought I may have had a connection. My Nancy Moyer was the daughter of Isaac Moyer and Sarah Ward-Moyer both born in PA as far as I can tell. Isaac and Nancy in OH. Nancy was the second wife; Harriett Reeder was the first and died 1864. Sad, Barbara I have the Daniel Moyer m. Mary Ann Ranes in Allen County, 1845. Their children: William Reuben (m. Maggie Edwards), Elizabeth (m. James Boggs), Sarah Jane "Janie" (m. Johial Mansfield), Samuel Washington (m1 Rosa Callendar - m2 Ida Mae Crane), and Refina (m. Ethan K. Burnett). Refina may also have been married to a James Davis, but have not proven this. Daniel born August 18, 1815, unsure where, but may have had a brother named David (found living near Daniel in some Censuses). I have no information on Daniel other than his birthday prior to his marriage date in Lima, Allen County. The family also lived in Paulding, Putnam and Defiance Couunites.
Barbara, If you happen across any info that you think might remotely connect with Daniel, give a holler. I was told Daniel's parents came from Pennsylvania to Ohio, but that Daniel had been born in Ohio. However, I have also seen his birthplace listed as Pennsylvania. Was also told that Daniel was born in Germany - but I don't believe so. Mary Ann died in 1895 in Defiance County, listed as a widow. So Daniel died after the 1880 Census was taken, but before 1895. Can't find any death information - or burial info - on him. Daniel & Mary Ann were my paternal great-grandparents. The David Moyer that always seemed to be near Daniel was born in Pennsylvania - about 4 years age difference. They could have been brothers. Dear Judith, You tried to send me something about this church, which was sent to me via ancestry.com, so it gave your name, but there was no way for me to reply back to you. Thank you for your time and trouble, but unfortunatly, ancestry.com would not allow me to see the forwarded image, because they said I have seen over my quota of images from them. That is OK, just wanted you to know, I appreciate your generous spirit of sharing, I did not have your email address, so I had to post this here on the list. Best regards, Lilly Martin, descendant of James and Mary Leach of Lima, OH and John and Margaret Miller of Lima OH. John and Margaret Miller are German immigrants buried at St. Paul's Evangelical Church, St. John's and Breese Rd.
I am looking for a photo of Jesse Atmur or other Atmur/Atmore family members. Jesse should have lived long enough (died 1911) to have his photo taken but I have never seen one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Jannice Rasor Hubbard
