Hi everyone, I just got off the phone with Pam at the Mary Lou Johnson Library in Kenton. They will have the Mobil computer lab unit the first week of August . I will be conducting an Internet genealogy research course August 2nd from 5pm to 8pm. Please call or sign up at the Mary Lou Johnson Library 419-673-2278 or let me know if you would like to attend the Aug 2nd evening class. On August 6th, we are trying to plan a "Genealogy Research day". The day will begin at the Hardin County Genealogy Library, then head to the Mary Lou Johnson Library. We could have a catered lunch brought in at the MLJ Library or go to a restaurant. After a lunch break we could research in the genealogy Dept. or head out to the Mobil Lab unit and continue research on the computers. I have permission to use the computer lab unit all day. there is a limit to 9 people and each of you would have your own PC. We have a limit of 9 per computer lab class. I can conduct another evening class on the 6th if we get enough interested or need more information about Aug. 2nd The Library is also conducting other computer courses besides internet genealogy research. If you are interested, please let me know. I will have pass outs that you could use at home and will also show you a few short cuts and tricks on your computer research. There was a James Sibold in the 1930 census in Lima, Allen Co., age 76, born 1853 Ohio, living in the household of son-in-law, Charles and Erma Sullivan. Would guess he died in the 1930's. I'm looking for information about his father, James Sibold Sr., who was born in 1789 in VA, and was listed in the 1860 & 1870 census in Jackson Twp, Allen, OH. I believe he died somtime in the 1870s. He was married to Lydia Walton in 1851, and Lydia Sibold was still listed in the 1880 census in Allen Co. The family included: James Sibold b.1789 Virginia Lydia Sibold b. 1832 Ohio James Sibold b. 1852 Ohio John Sibold b. 1852 Ohio Mahala Sibold b. 1854 Ohio Rosette Sibold b. 1856 Ohio Andrew J Sibold b. 1858 Ohio Son Andrew J. was listed as "Seibold" in the 1920 census in Ottowa Twp, Allen Co, OH. Grandchildren of James Sibold Sr include George L. and Carl Sibold born about 1880. From the 1930 census great-grand children include: Boyd b.1912, Robert L b.1920, Betty L b.1921, Carl J b.1925, Erma M b.1926, David W b.1928 James Sibold Sr. was previously married to Elizabeth Sargent or Largent and had sons Ichabod and Israel, they lived in Champaign CO OH and Union Co OH before moving to Allen Co sometime in the 1850's Would appreciate any information on this family. The Israel and Ichabod Sibold families moved from Allen Co. OH to Van Buren Co MI in the 1860s. Israel's daughter Celistia Sibold was my gg-grandmother.

East Cemetery was located in a field close to the corner of N. Easttown Rd. and Rte 309 graves . When Lowes wanted to locate in that area, the graves were dug up one by one and placed in graves at Greenlawn Cem., south of Elida. Elida Cemetery is the same as Elida Lutheran Cemetery, just south of Lutheran Church, between Main St. & Rte 309. The cemetery was converted to a Children's Day Care Center years ago and the graves still remain. Hope this helps.
