I would start looking at the cemeteries in the area. Two that I know of right off hand in Shawnee are: St. Matthews Cemetery that is run by St. Mathew's Lutheran Church. The contact person there is Candace Stevely at (419) 999-5329. Shawnee Cemetery, NW Corner of Shawnee and Zurmehley. I believe it's associated with the following church: Shawnee United Methodist Church 2600 Zurmehly Rd. Lima OH. 45806 (419) 991-4806 [email protected] Or you may try contacting Shawnee Township directly at: Shawnee Township House 2530 Ft. Amanda Road Lima Ohio 45804 (419) 991-8706 You may also try contacting the Allen County Probate Court to do a death record lookup at: Allen Couty Courthouse 4th Floor 301 N. Charlotte Lichti married Ludwig Boos (or Bass??) in Columbus, Ohio in 1842. Their daughter, Sophia Rose Boos was born in 1843. Charlotte Lichti Boos married Gottleib Boehmer in 1851. Their children were Caroline (b. 1851), John (b. 1854), Daniel (1856), Rosina (b. 1859) and Elizabeth (b. 1861, but died young). Charlotte's husband Gottleib died in 1867. I have not found any info of Charlotte Boehmer after the 1880 census. At that point she was in Shawnee Township, Allen County, Ohio. Thanks for your help. Marilyn

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZYB.2ACI/674.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Dear Laurie, I was playing around with ancestry.com, and found in the 1850 Ohio census, Moses, 45, Phoebe 43, Frances, 17, Greshum(??) 15, Elija M 8 (but the F is erased, our Elijah is male, could this census be wrong...the rest of the info seems correct) and Issac 4. The 1860 Amanda, Allen County Ohio, lists Phoebe Hobbs, 53, P, 31 (who is that???) EM, 18 (looks to be our Elijah), and IW 14. Moses was clearly missing, although not dead if he showed up on the 1870 census. The Hobbs info I have, for what it's worth, is as follows...Elijah married Caroline Boehmer probably in Ohio. They had Harvey (b. 1871 Ohio d. ?) Rosina (b. 1874 in CA, d 1950) Clinton (b. 1876 CA, d. 1954 CA) and Henry (b. 1882, d. 1970 CA) The family appears in the 1880 CA census in Bodega, Sonoma County. Hope this helps...sorry for rambling!!! Marilyn
