He died Dec. 15, 1916, in Muncie, IN, but was buried in the Hume Cemetery, which is now the St. Matthews Cemetery, close to Cridersville, Ohio. Before going to Indiana to live with his daughter, Simon lived in Shawnee Twp., Allen County Ohio. I'd appreciate any information on this. Thanks.

I did a search at Ancestry in Ohio death records and she is not listed there. That 45806 is last known residence so she could have died in Florida or somewhere else other than Lima.

As you are probably aware, US House Bill 10 (the Homeland Security Bill) could drastically reduce access to birth records in the United States if not amended. All of us need to contact both Senators DeWine and Voinovich, as both of them serve on the combined committee to reconcile differences in the House and Senate versions of the bill. Time is of the essence. As you may know, HB10 seeks to limit access to vital records in order to protect each of us from identity theft. The way the bill is worded, it could also limit however, our access to this information for genealogical purposes. The RPAC is recommending that the wording in the bill be adjusted to: Insert the following language as a new subsection 890A(b)(2)(E) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (see Title 6, Section 606(a) of S.2774): "shall not require a State to change its law or practice with respect to public access to (i) non-certified copies of birth certificates or to (ii) birth certificates or birth records once a period of 100 years has elapsed from the date of creation of the certificate or record." The combined Senate and House committee is meeting to adjust the language of the bill and the committee members need to hear from the genealogical community. It is particularly helpful if you live in one of the states represented by the committee members. If not, contacting someone you know in that state to make their opinion known would be the next most helpful thing you could do. If you do not live in any of these states and do not know anyone whom you could contact, then you should probably not take an action at this time other than to write to your representatives. Ruth J. Lee b. about 1903 or 1904 dau of Stephen A. Lee and Rutha Jane Mason Information on Ruth J. is, she is listed in the Cemetery book in Blue Creek Cemetery - Haviland, Blue Creek Township, Paulding., Co., OH. also know her mother Rutha Jane was visiting her parents James and Sarah Mason in Bell Co., KY, while there Rutha took sick and died (Jan 22, 1904). They sent her remains by train back to Ohio to be burried, at Blue Creek Cemetery. Rutha's death is recorded in Paulding Co., OH and on it is listed she was born and died in Bell Co., KY. According to a son by Stephen A. Lee and 2nd wife - while growing up there was a picture of Rutha Jane and a baby in a coffin hanging on the wall of the east upstairs bedroom. Also at the foot of Rutha's grave is a little stone with "Ruth J." on it. Possibly while Rutha was visiting her parents, she had the baby in Bell Co., KY(?). when Rutha took sick, the baby did also, then both died in Bell Co., KY(?) I am seeking the death dates and location of deaths for two sisters: Marriane (Augsburger) Conrad b. 1844, who married Fredrick Conrad March 21, 1867 in Richland Township, Allen County, Ohio, and Mary Louisa (Augsburger) Latimore b. 1859, who married William Latimore Aug 24, 1887 also in Richland Township. I estimate the year of Marianne's death between 1881 - 1888, and the year of Mary Louise's death according to her headstone is 1891. Mary Louisa was buried in Maple Grove cemetery in Bluffton.

This was on the Meigs Co list, but since it mentions Phillip Young Spencerville, Ohio, might be of interest to someone in Allen Co.
