Mrs. Reuben WHITE, of 1001 St Johns avenue, is critically ill with blood poison. B.H. SUNDERLAND, of Spencerville, was a Lima visitor today. John AUGUST, accompanied by his sister Miss RUSSELL, of Columbus Grove, were the guests of Mrs. E.E. RUSSELL, of east Market street yesterday. The street car company had their sprinkling car out yesterday, laying the dust along the tracks. Quite a lot of cement sidewalks are being put in on south Main street, south of Circular. Mrs. James KEEVE is painting and otherwise improving her property at the corner of Spring and Pierce streets. Deputy Revenue Collector S.R. VERTNER, of Beaverdam, was in town today, after being laid up with rheumatism for the past several months. Miss Pearl SARBER, after an extended visit in California, has resumed her position as stenographer with Judge LOWERY. E.L. WELCH of Delphos, patenter of the WELCH safe railway switch, was a city visitor today.

GRUBB charged FIELDS hit him with a pair of brass knuckles. FIELDS charged GRUBB hit him with a rock. Carl STUMBAUGH, 1221 south Metcalf street, truck driver for the CASKEY grocery, testified FIELDS used a pair of brass knuckles on GRUBB, after which GRUBB hit FIELDS with a rock.

Lima Daily News, Feb 21, 1919 Ida May RICE, the daughter of Wilson D. and Martha RICE was born in Leipsic, Ohio, April 3, 1884, and passed away at the home in Lima, February 13, 1919, at the age of 34 years, 10 months and 10 days. After a few years residence at Leipsic the family moved to Continental, Ohio, where they resided until after the death of the father, which occurred November 16, 1902, at which time they came to Lima, where they have since resided. Those remaining of the immediate family, are the mother Mrs. Martha RICE, of Lima, one sister, Mrs. Cora KUNTZ, of Continental, Ohio; four brothers, Pressly, Charley and Jesse all of Lima, and Ora, of Continental, Ohio. Ida had been a constant sufferer from her childhood. Being afflicted from about the age of seven years, her affliction developing into tuberculosis of the hip joint. Ida has always been of a most attractive personality, and a kind and loving disposition, and through all the years has won to herself a large circle of admiring and devoted friends. Early in life she was associated with the Sunday School and united with the United Brethren church in Continental, Ohio, and in Lima, she renewed her faith and confession, and united with the First United Brethren church in 1911. All these years she has taken great interest in the work of the church and the Sunday School, and it was a source of regret to her when she was no longer able to come to the services of the church. Her testimony of these recent months has been good, and she has been anxiously longing for the time when she might be set free from the body and go to be with her Savior. Williams and Davis removed Mrs. Abe VINEGAR from St. Rita's hospital to her home 784 west Wayne street. G.J. PENNYPACKER from the Solar Refinery to Dr. H.T. THOMAS for an X-ray examination, where it was found he had a broken arm and then to his home, 122 north Park avenue. Siferd and son removed Mrs. C.H. NEEDENHEIMER from St. Rita's hospital to 1223 St. John's avenue. Mrs. Nancy McCONAHAY from 829 1/2 south Main street to the City hospital. Mrs. Alice JELLISON from 124 east Elm street to the City hospital.

He was a dairyman and resided at 901 east Kibby street. Besides the wife and five children, a father and several sisters, survive him. Short funeral services were held at the late residence this afternoon at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. BOWDLE. Burial will be made in Ada.

Lima Daily News, Apr 11, 1911 St. Marys, Ohio, Apr 11- A special car on the Western Ohio railroad will bring the remains of Matthew PLANKELL, former resident of this city, here from Wapakoneta, Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Roll HARTER, of Spencerville, O., is a daughter of the deceased. Relatives in this city were informed of the death of Samuel CROSSLEY, which occurred at a Toledo hospital where he was taken for treatment some time ago. The deceased was a well known resident of Auglaize county and had made his home near New Hampshire for a number of years, although born in Allen county. Mr. CROSSLEY was 59 years of age and is survived by a widow and several children. Mrs. Roy WAGSTAFF, of this city, is a daughter. The funeral services will be held at New Hampshire, where the remains were taken Monday afternoon.

    3. Lima Daily News, Apr 4, 1899 Mrs. Walton E. CLARK left yesterday afternoon for a visit in Boston. Walter MORRIS returned last night to Kenyon, his vacation having ended. Mr. and Mrs. Fred BAUEHENS are home from a visit in Pittsburg. Cliff CHURCHILL, of Bellefontaine, spent the Sabbath with Lima friends. A baby daughter arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. CHANEY on north West street. Ex-sheriff FISHER was over from Delphos yesterday, taking part in the Democratic primary. The workmen engaged in taking down the electric light tower attract lots of attention. The six year old child of J.F. SEIFERD, of south Main street, was run over by a buggy yesterday afternoon and badly bruised. Roy SELLARS was up from Wapak yesterday to get his vote. He states he has a very nice buisness in the grocery line there. O.T. OWEN, for the past several years engaged in business at Kokomo, Indiana, is in the city making his mother, of south Main street a visit. Charles WOOLERY, the blind piano tuner, while in the act of getting in a buggy on south Main street yesterday afternoon the horses started throwing him to the pavement. His face was cut and badly bruised. Mrs. H.R. BASSLER, of Columbus Grove, is spending Easter with friends in Lima. Will DuGRAY has taken the position in the Hercules tin shop department on south Central avenue. The fixtures and machinery of the Eureka Cornice Works have been ordered sold by the courts. Lawrence LAWERTHERS, of Pittsburg, an up-to-date shoe salesman, has taken a position at the Hub shoe store. Mrs. I.S. MOTTER left this morning for Martinsville, Indiana, where she will take the baths for a week or more. The eleven-year-old son of Dave SEEDERS was bitten by a dog yesterday afternoon, and his face severely lacerated. Francis, the 21-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John GRADY, 633 north McDonald street, died this morning from Spinal Meningitis. No funeral arrangements yet made. Death relived Mrs. Thomas MOSGROVE, of 750 Oak street, last night about 11 o'clock. Lung trouble was the cause of death. She leaves a husband, mother, two brothers and a sister. The date of the memorial has not been set but will be conducted by the Ladies Auxillary to the Knights of St. John.

Glaze, 70, a resident of Lima for 21 years, died at his home, 367 S. Pine-st., at 3:30 am Sunday from paralysis following an illness of one week. Glaze was janitor at South high school and was a native of Allen-co. Surviving are his wife, Jennie Glaze; one son, W. H. Glaze of Lima Route 2; a daughter, Miss Neva Glaze at home; three sisters, Mrs. Luther McKinney of Harrod; Mrs. William Jamison of Lima, and Mrs. Arthur Poling of Casper, Wyo. Three grandchildren also survive. Final rites will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday at the South Side Church of Christ, with the Rev. E. J. Penhorwood officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery. The body was removed from the Davis-Miller and Sons funeral home to the residence Monday morning. Let me know if you want me to look up more.
