    3. Allen County Democrat, Sep 10, 1874 Shelby County ( From the Sidney Democrat) On Wednesday evening, Mr. H. FANIDER, of Orange township, fired off his gun. The result was a broken collar bone. A little boy, son of Robert YOUNG, was seriously injured at Anna, on Tuesday. We did not learn the particulars. On Wednesday week Mike ZISELER met with a painful accident at the Trissel saw mill north of Hardin, by having the index and second fingers of his left hand badly lacerated by a saw, leaving part of the cartilage of the knuckle sticking to the saw. The fourth man injured at this mill. W. SANDERS, of Cynthian township, had a finger broken by a thresher on Tuesday of last week. Hardin County (From the Republican) Rev. T.H. WILSON of this place will dedicate a new Methodist church near Delphos on next Sunday a week. Rev. WILSON has probably dedicated more churches to the worship of God, than any other minister in the Central Ohio Conference. Hancock County (From the Courier) Mr. Michael LAUK left at our office a bunch of the longest and nicest wheat heads that ever we have seen, of the Treadwell variety, both bearded and smooth, some of which measure seven inches in length. It was raised on the farm of Eli ROPP, in Seneca county, four miles from Fostoria. One evening last week Judge WHITLEY and G.W. MYERS had a little foot race on Main street, the Judge to run backwards. A fair start was had without any difficulty, and the Judge was getting the best of the race until he struck his heel against an obstruction, when over he went on his back, and MYERS passed him and gained the race. It was fun for the boys, but the Judge didn't enjoy the race very well. Van Wert County (From the Bulletin) Mr. George HULL's grocery store was burglarized again on Monday night. The thieves did not secure a large amount of booty. On Friday last Mr. Newell WILCOX, of this town, was severely bruised about the face and shoulders, the result of his team running away while he was driving near Venedocia, in York township. He was cared for by a farmer until Sunday, when he was brought home. Mr. H.A. McELWAIN, proprietor of the Farmer's Eating Saloon, while handling a revolver on Tuesday morning, accidentally discharged one of the barrels, the load lodging in his left forearm, producing a painful wound. One of the BOYERS, who assisted in stealing a beef, north of town last fall, for which he was arrested but successful in making good his escape, was re-arrested on our streets, on Saturday, by Mr. C.F. BICKFORD. Deputy Sheriff COMER will furnish home with roast beef.

    3. Finally I have the information on my CROMER Jesse Albert CROMER was the son of Thomas CROMER and Lydia COVAULT born in Newport, Shelby County, OHIO 22 Sept 1878 registered in Miami County,OHIO. Jesse's father died in 1881 and Jesse was raised in Lima, OHIO. No prove yet that Lydia remarried (she was 42 when Thomas died.) Thomas and Lydia were married in Shelby County, 15 July 1875 Half brothers and sisters - Elnathan Cromer aka Nathan Cromer, Charles Cromer, Thomas Cromer, and Margaret A. Cromer aka Luella Minkle.(adopted by Minkle family as an infant) THESE WERE THE CHILDREN OF THOMAS' FIRST MARRIAGE TO Margaret A. Buckles in MIAMI County 6 Aug 1864 Elizabeth Steinberger, Elmer Steinberger, Elias Madison Steinberger, John M. Steinberger, Rebecca Steinberger, Annie M. Steinberger, and Netti Steinberger ( THESE WERE THE CHILDREN OF LYDIA'S FIRST MARRIAGE TO Walter STEINBERGER Brothers and sister Otto Franklin Cromer 6 July 1876, and Abigail Cromer.1879 Thomas Cromer was the son of Abraham Cromer and Hannah Harless born in Miami County OHIO 18 Oct.1828. He was the youngest child of 10 children. Elnathan b 22 Sept 1808 in VA John b. 1810 David b. circa1812 Mary b. circa 1815 Samuel b. Nov. 1816 Owen b. 7 Feb 1819 William b. 13 May 1820 Abraham b. 1824 Jacob b. 4 Apr 1823 Thomas b. 18 Oct 1828 Jesse married Clara Belle FOWLER in Fort Wayne,Allen County, Indiana 10 Feb 1903 They had 4 children in Ft. Wayne James Elder - 14 Sept 1903 Goldie M.- 31 Oct 1904 Ralph Eugene - 31 Oct 1904 Helen Marguerite - 26 Oct 1906 The family lived in Fort Wayne till approximately 1908 and then removed to Cleveland, OHIO. After 1811 the family removed to Ehren, Pasco County, Florida where on 5 Jan 1913 Clara died from complications of pregnancy. The family returned to Allen County, OHIO after the death of Clara and the children were split up sent to different locations in and around Allen County. Jesse remarried a Neva Stevens in Lima . By 1920 most of the family was living in and aroound Toledo, OHIO. Appears that Neva and Jesse were split in 1920 as he is living with his son and Neva is up the street. In about 1932 the family relocated in Benton Harbor, MIchigan, all but Goldie who married Archibald FRAZER in Cleveland OHIO and relocated in Toronto, Ontario Canada around the same year (1932). Goldie and Archie had two children in Cleveland before relocating in Toronto, Margaret b.6 Apr 1925, and Archie Jr. b 12 June 1926. After in Toronto another daughter was born Sandra 29 Apr 1940. The family returned to Cleveland OHIO in 1954 with the exception of Archie Jr. who had a family and remained in Toronto Area.
