I need to reread it to make sure I have a clear picture. I just finished transcribing the 1831 settlement of Curtiss Cannon which I received after due process from a very, very nice lady at the Adams County Genealogical Society of Adams County. As soon as I put the finishing touches on it I will forward it to you. In it U.W. Cannon, B.N. Cannon J.A. B. Cannon and E.C. Cannon amongst others of the region are found purchasing items from Curtiss' estate. Also present is Rebecca Cannon. Quite a unique situation I believe. As you know this Curtiss is from MD and his wife was born in Massachusetts. I would love to know more about them. Interesting situation.According to some Dorchester County, MD land records Curtis was selling land as late as 1804. By 1807 he was performing marriages in Adams County. Research in Maryland on the Internet is challenging at best. I reallly would like to see if there is a connection between a Newton Cannon (b. Aug 1761) and Curtiss, Tubmon and Zadoc Cannon. If I could find the parents and/or siblings I think it would help greatly.
