I notice some inquires about the Shanks name. I saw one of the replies had a Shanks that married a Grooms. In my Kisling-Palmer family there were many Grooms that married in. I have one Shanks. She was Eliza Anna Shanks who married Joseph William Kisling. August 1894. The Kisling-Palmer families lived in the Locus Grove and Peebles are in Adams County, Ohio at this time.
