I would like to know if there are any records of tenant farmers in Adams county, OH. I assume that tenant farmers did not own any land, so there would be no probate records. My gg-father was Francis M. Eubanks, born 1837 in KY. He moved to Adams County around 1863 with his wife Nancy Arnett and one son George. Around 1870 he married his second wife, Anna Elizabeth Paris and raised 11 children. They are listed in the 1880 and 1900 census. They moved around a little and he is listed as a farmer.
