I've heard my wife's g grandparents,Lafayette "Lafe" and Nancy Walker Mahaffey are buriend in the Brush Creek Baptist churchyard at Faucett, east of Dunkinsville,Adams Co Oh. We had a Bennington expert on 1993 Prodigy on-line genealogy. From memory,Harford Co,Md to s Brown Co, Oh. We had a Jacob Mahan early here at Bethel,Oh whose wife was a Bennington. Their SonRev Robert B[ENNINGTON] MAHAN,WAS the Under- ground RRer of Sardenia,Brown Co hauled by a mob of slave-owners across Brown Co to the jail in Maysville,Mason Co,Ky. After a period, the Ky Judge dismissed him as Ky having no rule over him,but he died from the effects. One of the Pence was pro-slavery.
