Dear Adams County Friends: We've hit a brick wall regarding researching my g-g-grandfather. His name was Edmond Veredic Verax, and he lived in Green Township, Adams County, Ohio from 1876 until 1894 when he died. I have been given a copy of his obituary from the newspaper. However, it does not list a funeral home or church, just that that the services were conducted by a Rev. Wm. M. Shively. Where on earth would I search for a copy of his death record? We know nothing of Edmond's past (parents' names, etc.) and thought that a death record may list some important information. Also, I noticed that there are a few Shivelys listed in the Stout/Rome area in the phone directory. Could any of these people be related to Rev. Shively?
