    3. Hermon: I am having trouble tracking down some of these folks. My ancestor was Jesse Rumer born 5-31-1826 in Virginia (now Hardy Co. West Virginia) I can not get any information on sibs or parents. I have written to the gen society in Hardy Co. WVA and they say they don't have any records before they became a state and I write to the gen society in Virginia and they have no records on Jesse Rumer. I have him on a census (1850) in Fayette Co., Jefferson Twp. Jeffersonville, Ohio. It states that he and his wife, Carolyn Jacobs and their first son, Franklin David Rumer was born in VA. The second son Emory was born 1847 in Ohio. This is very frustrating. where do I turn from here? Do you have any suggestions? Do you have some contacts in WVA or VA. ? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
