Thanks to a recent lookup and the arrival yesterday of some long-awaited death certs., I now know the names of my ELLIOTT gg grandparents: Franklin ELLIOTT and Mary (Polly) MORRISON. Of course, new info. always raises new questions. Franklin ELLIOTT and Mary (Polly) MORRISON b. abt 1813-14 had these children: 1. John b. abt 1834 2. Robert b. 10 Aug 1838 d. 28 Feb 1921 3. Franklin b. abt 1841 d. Civil War, I believe 4. Salathiel W. b. 8 May 1844 d. 30 Sep 1917 m. Martha Lindsay (lived and d. Scioto Co) 5. Mary b. 1845 6. Hannah M. b. 1846 7. Sarah Margaret b. 1848 d. 1915 m. Caleb Weldon Armstrong 1866 I've looked at the archived MORRISON messages but didn't make any connection. Does anyone have a Mary (Polly) MORRISON b. 1813 or 14? Anyone have any MORRISON families around the Jefferson, Green, Brush Creek Twp. area? Also, the 1850 census shows the family above in Jefferson Twp. but the father Franklin isn't there. Had he died between Sarah's conception in 1847 and 1850? Was he working elsewhere? Had he abandoned the family? He is listed in Jefferson Twp. on the 1847 Male Enumeration List. Does anyone have an 1860 census to see if he "returns" to the family then or does anyone see him in any other township in 1850 ? (He's not in Green Twp., which I have) Or in cemetery bks?
