He was a Lieutenant in the Civil War with both the 88th Ohio Volunteer Infantry and the 85th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He and Isabell had six children. John V. was the son of William P, who was the son of John Cluxton who came to the US with his father Robert Cluxton and mother Mary Rice Nickson and his sister Betsie. Several of the Cluxton children stayed in Ireland. My line of Cluxton also comes from this same John Cluxton. John V.'s father William P. had a brother named George Rice Cluxton and he had a son named Samuel Edgar and he had a son William Franklin -- this was my grandfather. I have some updating to do on my Cluxton line and am expecting more information shortly after the first of the year from my cousin who lives in Las Vegas who is also working on this line. She has made a Cluxton connection and is in the process of updating her information and will forward it to me as soon an she has it done. Do you have any information on John V. Cluxton's wife and family. I have only his wife's first name and the names of their six children, but nothing beyond that. As soon as I get my information updated (within the next week or so), I will be happy to exchange all Cluxton information with you. Thanks for responding to my query. Susan Young Hall Miamisburg OH
