Hi Everyone, I my last communication about the Twp. Censuses that the Adams Co. Gene. Soc. publictions, I for got to include that the Gene Soc. publications do have an index., which the CD will not. The Gene. Soc. by selling these publications they are able to purchase additional books and micro film, which is free to the public, at the Soc. location. The society will do lookups and mail copies of pages on most of the books and records that they archive. I really feel that Adams Co. has the best group of volunteers that have been harvesting research info for decades. Info that would have been lost due to age and lack of storage space. I have been benefiting from them for years and have purchased several of thier publications for home use. If you ever get a chance to visit the Soc., do not pass up the opportunity. You would not believe what they can store in a small building. They will try to accomodate you, if you are from out of town and it is not normal visiting hours. The Soc. is supported by the sale of these publications and membership dues. Here is a link to the Soc.
