A lot of people don't seem to realize that on the Adams Co. list, if they hit the reply button, their message goes back to the whole list for everyone to see - or have to delete. If we're discussing genealogy or history or geography, it is usually a good thing to send it to the list. We all might learn something or find a clue. I'm sure that's why the list is set up for replies to go to everyone. But sometimes, we might want to consider sending a private message if we're just saying "thank you" or requesting a list of bks. for sale, e.g. You can see a sender's private email address by hitting "reply" and "include message in reply". Then you have to change the address. You can also then delete the original sender's message rather than send it back to him/her if you want to. Herma
