I know that my ancestor Hezekiah Merritt met his two brothers in Manchester in 1795. They were asked by Col. Nathaniel Massie to join his survey group that was going up the Scioto to lay out the town of Chillicothe. Later Hezekiah settled in what is now Lucasville. I do not know what became of the two brothers or what their names were. He came from Wash. Co., Pennsylvania to meet them with his wife Rachael Anderson and the first five of his (to be 13 )children. How can I find out what Merritts were in Manchester in 1800? Then maybe I can work backwards from there. Eda L. Rumer Bobo
