For many years I have been seeking the family of Nancy Holloway who married Absalom Edgington 24/25 July 1816 Adams County OH. For those of you also still looking, her family has been found in Clark County KY. Nancy was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Hudson) Holloway of Caroline County VA and Clark County KY. She appears as Nancy Edgington in her father's 1823 will proven in Clark County KY. She and Absalom also sold to her brother Spencer Noel Holloway her share in her father's estate 8 November 1823 [Clark County KY Deed Book 20:3-4]. This apparently explains the name of their son Spencer Edgington. For those interested in her family, there is a 20-page account contained in Marilyn J. Hill Craig's just-released *Some Hill Families of Monroe County, Missouri*. How Absalom and Nancy met and courted remains an open and interesting question. Best wishes to you all.
