We're connected as well--in 2 ways. Your gg grandfather, William Thomas Herdman was brother to Elizabeth Herdman, who is my husband's gg grandmother. Also, your gg grandmother Louisa Brown was sister my my husband's gg grandmother Cienda Agnes Brown. I have that Louisa and Cienda were the daughters of Hugh Brown and Margaret Newman, but I don't know much more than that. Do you have any information about them?
