Henry Gilman b. Abt. 1754 ( not sure where born ---I found his father, Henry Kielman arriving at the port of Philadelphia aboard the ship, Phoenix, on Oct. 1, 1754, I also found him taking the oath of Allegiance To The Province And State Of Pennsylvania on the same date, and he is on a 1754 Philadelphia Township,Philadelphia County census as Henry Gielman. I next have been able to find him on a Proprietary and State Tax List of the County of Berks for the year 1767 as Henry Gilman. I've not been able to determine exactly when he moved from Philadelphia County to Berks County. I have been looking for Berks County German church records to see if I can find the birth dates of his kids or his wife's name, or Northumberland County German Church records to see what I can find there, but so far I have not been successful. Henry Gilman b. Abt. 1754 married Margaret Smith, daughter of Adam Smith, b. ca 1755 probably Northumberland Co., PA. Children: (1) Henry Gilman b. Abt. 1782 Buffalo Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania m. Mary Fetters ( do you know when or where they married?) (2) Susanna Gilman b. Abt. 1784 Buffalo township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. I have nothing else on her. ( could she be the Sarah Gilman married to Daniel Fetters ca. 1801??)Where and when did Sarah Gilman and Daniel Fetters marry? (3)Margaret Gilman b. Abt. 1792 Buffalo Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania m. Charles Fetters 25 Jan 1814 Sprigg Township, Adams County, Ohio ( Adam's Co., Ohio marriage record)Margaret m. 2nd Andrew Himes 27 Jan 1823 (4) John Gilman b.Abt. 1792 Buffalo Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania m. Rebeckah Kimbel 06 May 1813 Sprigg Township, Adams County, Ohio ( Adam's Co., Ohio marriage record) m 2nd Millie Mosier 24 Sep 1825 Putnam County, Indiana ( Putnam Co., Indiana marriage record) (5) Catherine Gilman b. Abt. 1794 Buffalo Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania m. Daniel Riggs 20 Aug 1823 ( I don't know where--- could this Catherine have been married first to Michael Fetters, Jr.? She married Daniel Riggs when she was about 30, so a first marriage seems likely) (6)Mary Gilman b.
