MONTGOMERY's parents He seems to be connected to the family of Margaret & Samuel MONTGOMERY of Adams Cty, Ohio. This is what I know: he was born abt 1828 in Ohio; Elias first married Mary Ann Baird on 17 Sep 1877; they are on the 1850 Adams Cty, Green Twp. census with Joseph W, their son. Elias A. MONTGOMERY may have been illegitimate and raised by Margaret & Samuel MONTGOMERY. He may have some connection to the GIFFORD family of Adams County according to recent DNA testing.
