I've be working on Jacob Allen Rogers info tonite and stumbled across this old msg. I'm confused by the quote saying Jacob and Clay were children of Parthenia before she married and used name Rogers. Just discovered Hiram's parents were Oliver and Rebecca 2 wks ago. Trying to sort out the lines of descendants. Making contact with others researching lines of Wm, father of Oliver. In the 1850 Adams Co census with Rebecca and Oliver there is a Parthenia age 9, appears to be their dau. Jim rogers and I are in contact, he descends from Jacob. He believes Parthenia was dau of Rebecca and that Rebecca raised Jacob. I don't see Jacob b. ca 1857 on 1860 census with Rebecca and Bethany J age 21. Jacob isn't with Berthina age 29 on 1870 census. I do see Jacob in 1880 with wife Salena next door to Rebecca. Any idea where Jacob is in 1860,1870? He does appear to be a mystery. You seem to be an authority on the Rodger/rogers of Adams Co Ohio.
