I’ve “rescued” two old photographs belonging to the HOWLAND Family of Ohio.  The first is a photograph of John HOWLAND which was taken at the Mulligan Bros. Studio in Cincinnati, OH likely sometime in the 1890’s with John appearing to be in his teens at the time.  In addition to his name, someone has also written “son of Uncle Willie” on the front of the photograph. The second photograph is one of Mr. J. R. HOWLAND of Ripley, OH which was taken at the M. M Morgan Studio in Ripley, OH.  The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880’s with Mr. HOWLAND likely in his 60’s or 70’s at the time it was taken.  Based on limited research I believe that I’ve been able to locate the following information regarding the men in the photographs: John H.
