Hi, Many Adams Co. records were lost in a court house fire in 1910. The FHL has microfilmed deaths from 1888-1893 so the year you need may not be available. The Ohio Historical Society has many newspapers on microfilm and they are available for inter-library loan. http://dbs.ohiohistory.org/newspaper/home.cfm Yolanda Campbell Lifter Malabar, FL [email protected] http://www.ohiofamilyresearch.com My Surnames of Ohio (SE and SW Counties): ALLEN* BEASLEY*BLY* BOLENDER*BOWEN*BULL*BURNSIDE*CAMPBELL* CLARK*DAFT*DIXON* DUNHAM*GROW*HAFER*HARTLEY*HUMBLE*McCORMICK* PETTYJOHN*ROBERTS*SHINKLE* STOOPS* WISBY*ZUCK One Name Study of STOOPS in Ohio ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, October 13, 2003 1:47 PM Subject: [OHADAMS] Cost of Obituary/Adams County Ohio > > I would like to know the cost to get a Death Certificate from Adams County, I have tried to call the Adams County Probate Department and they don't answer the phone. I also would like to know if the Adams County Genealogy Society has on film old newspapers and if so the film number, as my greatgrandmother was Sarah A. Price born Feb. 13, 1849, married William Webb on November 18, 1870, she died Dec. > 10, 1897 and he died November 19, 1906..I can not find where she is buried and thought if I found obituary it might give me a clue to where they are buried. The mother of Sarah A. Price was Martillary Long Bailey Price her husband was John S. Price found this information from the National Archives on the death of Martillary's son from her first marriage Daniel Bailey, her other son was Wm. Bailey who was killed at the Battle of Shiloh. > Cordially, > New email address as follows. > [email protected] >
