She died in 1864 and he remarried to Emily Wamsley and later moved to Clarkesville, Iowa. He had 8 children with Rebecca that I know of. One of those was Nancy Margaret Smith who married George Swyers in Ohio, moved to Indiana where george died then married James Madison Baer who is my Ggrandfather. I don't know anything about the Smiths before that. Danni Lutter
