    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YYB.2ACI/1939.2.2.1 Message Board Post: I can expound a little on my line of Shoemaker descendants. I am descended through the line of Mary Elizabeth, who married Benjamin Alexander. Mary was still alive as of 1917, as she was listed on Raymond's WWI draft registration card and living in Blanchester. She was widowed sometime between 1900 and 1910. Death date is sometime after 1917. I do not have any death information on Benjamin. He was born about 1856 in Brown or Adams county (county line in Eagle twp has changed). Son of Susannah Gregg and Stephen Alexander of Adams county. I show that Sarah, the first child, was married to an Unknown Williams and had two children, Manly born 1915 and Margaret born 1923. This one is unproven. I also show her, and was back up by an obit as having married an Albert Stultz, or Stoltz. The next child was Susan, born October of 1881. She married a John Doss, and lived her whole life in Cherry Fork. I do not have her death date yet and am still searching for it. They had fourteen children I can document through census. Names are Helen, Robert, Clarence, Thomas, James, Junior (John), Charles and Anna. Third child was my Grandfather, William M. Alexander who married Mildred Florence Camp of Wilmington. William worked as a mechanic in various quarries in the Southwestern part of the state and also in Fairborn/Dayton area, was a WWI vet and died in Fairborn. He was born 4th September, 1887 and died 20 December, 1956. They had one child, my mother, who is still living and will be 91 soon. Mildred went on to marry again, but William never did. Fourth child (order may be mixed up here because of some discrepancies in birth dates on some data for Ray) was Raymond Alexander, born 31 March, 1866. He died, unmarried the 12th September, 1939 when struck by a train in Clinton County. Last child was Asa, also known to family as "Ace". He was born 25 March, 1693. He was married at least once, has/had children, but they are probably still living, so won't list names. He died 30 August, 1977 in Clinton County. My mother remembers her g'uncle Frank (Franklin) Shoemaker and he lived in Wilmington. Born 1868 and died 25 November, 1944 per death records, but some sources say 1943). He was married at least once, and perhaps twice. If anyone has Frank's obit from Wilmington papers, I would love a copy of it. Thanks
